In order 1-8:
1: AFC West - 20 Wins
2: NFC East - 18 Wins
3: AFC East - 17 Wins
T4: AFC South - 14 Wins
T4: NFC North - 14 Wins
6: NFC South - 13 Wins
7: NFC West - 11 Wins
8: AFC North - 10 Wins
Is the AFC West the toughest division in football?
Is the AFC North the cupcake?

AFC South is not top half. It's not even top 6.

The NFC West went from the best division in football for the last 3 or so years to arguably the worst in football.

That happens a good bit. The NFL changes a good bit each season to a degree.

AFC West.
The Chargers would win the NFC and AFC South.

Usually, no. The AFC North is always one of the toughest divisions in football, but with Cincinnati's nosedive and Baltimore's mediocrity all the way around, this year yes.

this thread reminds me how dumb the nfl division system is

Plus Pittsburgh having dogshit as their backup QB doesn't help much. But having Cleveland seems to automatically drag them down every year.

Lulz.
The Bengals have four losses. They are:
At Dallas
At Pittsburgh
At New England
vs Denver
Sure, they should have found a way to win at least one of those, but its the same team that has made the playoffs the last five years. Hardly a nosedive at this point.

How should they format it then??

Divisions themselves are dumb. The only purpose they serve is to give a team a pat on the back for being the best of a handful of teams.

IMO the AFC West is the best and the AFC South is the worst.

The NFC North will be 4th by itself after tonight's divisional game.
Which, really, is something that should be factored in-- if a ton of divisional games have been played in some divisions, and not in others, its going to skew these numbers.
