This is the worst argument you O lovers keep coming up with. He lost to Navy, SMU, and UConn as the coach of Houston. He's also beaten
FSU, Louisville and Oklahoma with a less talented team and against coaches perceived to be in the elite category.

Don't forget, Saban has lost to ULM and Utah with more talented teams and coaches not perceived as elite.

FSU who played in the playoffs the year before? Who had a back up QB playing in the Chik-Fil-A bowl on 12/31 a year later against a Houston team?

Oklahoma whose biggest wins this year were against a 4-3 TCU team 52-46 and a 3-4 Texas team 45-40. SMU would beat OU also worse than Houston did. Not something to hang your hat on.

So how does a coach go from beating FSU, Louisville and Oklahoma to losing to Navy, struggling against Tulsa and getting his arse kicked by SMU?

That would be like saying he beat Florida, Arkansas and Ole Mis at LSU. Disregard the fact he lost to Mississippi State, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

The losses count !!! And to lose to bottom feeders won't make up for wins against against UF, Ark and Ole Miss.
