This is such a smokescreen, to keep the focus off who LSU really is going after. Admin is working hard to avert everything they did wrong with Jimbo last year. Will not repeat that same mistake. Notice the very first word in the paragraph, IF?
1st, O isn't getting the job
2nd, O wants admin to believe that if we beat Bama, then we're going to turn around and throw $$$ at the guy we just beat, with an interim coach? Yeah, that's sound reasoning
3rd, the other OC in play for coach O is Briles.
4th, locking in recruits isn't even in play for O, because if he were to leave LSU, he wouldn't end up at an elite enough program to pull anyone with him. And the coach that LSU is bringing in will pull in his own notable recruits
Its just a distraction, and Random is just helping LSU burn the tires

Hope you are right. I don't give the decision makers that much credit though.
