I asked him if there was some excitement on campus about the LSU game.

He said oh no...we aren't worried about LSU. They can't beat us...everyone is confident of that.

I think Bama is real good but everyone is beatable. We are playing really good football and I think Aranda will have the defense ready. At a minimum we have a chance.

Clearly he was taught by a Gump teacher before he became one himself.

I find this hard to believe. They are certainly a cocky fanbase but not worrying about this game makes no sense - we are a legitimate threat to their season, period.

Most faculty members at any college know little or nothing about sports. There are exceptions but it's generally true.

if true, then it must really be boring to be an alabama fan if they have the inability to get excited about a game like lsu. they likely have that same attitude with everyone they play

They gave up 40+ to Ole Miss. Of course they are beatable. Our interim coach held them to zero second half points.

Bama fans won't allow themselves to believe any team can beat them. Last year I told a buddy from Alabama, y'all got a big game with Ole Miss this weekend! He brushed me off and said Ole Miss doesn't have a chance. I told him, well, didn't they beat you guys last year? ?

There isn't a group of people more out of touch with reality than college professors.

I normally don't deal with Bama graduates, but when I do, I do try to leave them a good tip. At least 15%.

Don't see us beating them. I really don't think our OL can block their front seven.

If we're honest, they really don't have much reason to worry. LSU will hopefully change that, but I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm still much more optimistic than if we had miles.
