So if everyone on this thread worked for a total overbearing control freak a-hole that literally screamed at you in public, then you were offered the same job at a different company doing the same thing with same or better pay and benefits and could work for a friend, you bunch of dumbasses would say 'no thanks'....???? Yea right

I mean maybe Saban and Kiffin are best buds off camera, who knows. But if I were offered an equal or better paying job doing the exact same thing minus a massive prick boss.....sign me up

ColeLSU is spot on.

Let me add to it. Kiffin is in year 3 of working for Saban. First of all, I doubt Lane thought he needed to learn anything from Saban, but whatever he is learning, you can bet in Lane's mind he has learned enough in 3 years. Secondly, every coach likes to win titles, right? Well it looks like Kiffin could be about to land his second national title in a row. What else is left to prove for him in Tuscaloosa? Third, even while making 2 playoffs in a row, winning a national title, and now sitting at 7-0 and ranked #1 in the country, Lane knows that Saban receives 95% of the credit while Lane gets about 5%. All of these coaches have the confidence in themselves to believe that they can do it on their own (not saying that is a bad thing). Lastly, we aren't getting the full Kiffen experience under Saban. You know Saban pulls the reigns back, as evidence of the arse chewing Lane received in public a few weeks ago. Lane knows that if he comes and works with his good friend Coach O, who Lane has hired twice, then Kiffen will have full control of the offense.

If Coach O is named head coach here, and if Kiffen is not a head coach somewhere next year, I think the chances are better than not that Kiffen is the LSU OC.
