Im sorry. We use the word coonass around my family vigorously, and wear it as a badge of honor. If you want to be offended by it, so be it. But your trying to convince others to be offended is sad.

Like I said if you are part of the family its ok. I agree with you that its a badge of honor. But when an outsider, especially a Gump, is joking about it then it's not OK.

Given the context of who said it, I dont think it was meant as a positive expression. There are a bunch of Nick Saban jock sniffers in here.
