1. Jimbo
2. Kelly
3. Herman
4. Ogeron
I think Jimbo is the safest bet by far. He checks all the boxes on what we need and he's coached in the SEC before. He's the only one I see walking in and taking over without a hiccup. I also think he's going to go with a pro-style offense which is what I want. I want a pro-style QB. Our current system is built for it including our OL and skill players. You can still be creative in that system or at least unpredictable. It also makes an easy sell for recruits that want to play on Sunday.
Kelly obviously is the other end of the offensive spectrum, but has the experience to come in and make effective changes quickly if he chooses.
Herman is certainly intriguing due to his early success and offensive mind, but he remains unproven.
Ogeron if he wins out certainly deserves a look. For those that use the excuse that LSU has the talent to win out anyway, according to ESPN LSU has a 3.3% chance (before the Ole Miss game) to win out. Now I have no idea how they came up with that figure, but if he can do that it's a pretty amazing accomplishment. I feel confident with a good staff he will do well at LSU, but to bring us back to being a consistent Top 5-10 team will be tough for him or anyone for that matter.
