Not necessarily a CC, but I would like to be able to. I don't think I have a need for a full frame gun

Best to define what "fullsize" is, and then the size you'd prefer.

For example, Beretta 92 usually gonna have approx 4.8 inch barrel, CZ 75 has about the same (I think the barrel is slightly shorter, but the frame and slide layout remains about the same).
In comparison, my lone S&W 3rd gen pistol, the 915, has a 4 inch barrel. With the factory grips (flat backstrap), it's just about the same size as my CZ 82, which is a 9x18/.380 doublestack platform. You retain the 15 rd magazine, and Mecgar makes 17 rd flush fit mags.

My personal experience, if you go any smaller in 9mm, then the gun begins to get a little uncomfortable to shoot over extended sessions, and you lose that "all around" experience.
