Because LSU while established has shown even an avg coach like Miles can come in and maintain.

Imagine an above average coach who is actually an x and o's guy come in here with this talent.. Especially an offensive genius paired with Aranda.

LSU has shown to attract great DC's... if tey had an offensive HC genius I believe they can beat a Bama consistently and compete and be elite again.

You saw what he has done with elite talent against great defenses. He whipped Wisconsin and Alabama with a 3rd string QB.. the guy is still an offensive genius.. something LSU could use.. great with both qbs and rbs.

Houston does not have the talent people thought.. and he has done wonders with Ward a 3 star to get them to even compete.

My concern with O is that he has an absolutely LOADED team this year that was favored to win every game going into the season.. and were handcuffed.. they are now playing loose with 2 losses and Coach O gets to benefit from that. He's doing a great job this season.. I just wonder moving forward how long a rah rah motivator guy can do talent. Especially such a lovable guy. I do like that he holds players accountable and doesn't just play favorites.. so there is that..

You should really go and check back Saban's years with Michigan St.. he beat some good teams, but he also got his arse beat by teams as well home slice..

Both guys are bright young geniuses.

LSU would thrive with a real x and o's coach IMO paired with the great DC's they attract.. Herman can scheme to beat great defenses. I don't care if his less talented Houston team has a total of 3 losses in 2 years.. they've beaten much superior teams. The loss to Navy had many miscues and they still nearly pulled it out. It was on the road to a now ranked team with an impressive home winning streak.. there's a ton of pressure on them to not lose.. they can never afford a loss.. and they never had the talent to keep it up.

Fisher has shown he can bring an established program quickly back to elite status already.. and he has proven how great he is with qbs as well as rbs.. and even defenses.. and he's great vs the SEC lol.

Coach O is a nice feel good, but I worry long term with yet another guy who is not really an x and o guy who just everyone loves and adores.

But it's whatever. Let's see what happens moving forward.
