Look I know baseball fans are super into advanced stats and I like looking at things from a more logical perspective as well. But ERA is still the most important stat for pitchers. That's their entire job. I'll take the guy with a 0 ERA who loads the bases every inning and gets out of it over the guy who strikes out 27 batters and lets up 3 runs a game.

Maybe he is unlucky, maybe it's a small sample size, I don't really care. The fact of the matter is that to this point, he's not getting the job done. It's unarguable. Your argument should be that it's not likely to continue based on x and y. Arguing he hasn't been bad is silly.
