If you have a seven and three, and the dealer is showing a bust card, isn't it expected for you to double down and take one hit? I'm talking about the players that hit when he has 13 and the dealer is showing a 6, bc in his mind, it's "well I only have 13 and if the dealer has 16, I lose so I need to hit to get more than 16."

You are correct in the first paragraph and right in the second, I'm just talking about people who try to stop you from hitting when you have 7 and 3 and the dealer has a bust card

I'm sorry folks but I'm gonna try to protect myself in case the dealer doesn't bust by hitting

I've had people try to stop me from hitting in this situation before

Yeah what are you talking about? If you are showing a 10 no one would ever expect you to stay. You are playing to win, not for the dealer to bust

If someone gets made at you for hitting a 10, then you definitely need to leave the table.
