i am probably wrong on this but i thought when i went to the 87 game in Jackson it was a big deal because it was going to be the last LSU Ole Miss game there. I remember the LSU band bus broke down that Sat. and all of the band members had to get rides to Jackson and arrived at various times before and during the game. In the 70s LSU would play Ole Miss at 1 30 and then Bama would play Miss St at 7 in the same stadium.
