True, and I realize that. Doesn't make me stop wishing him the best.

We've long said on here and everywhere else I've ever seen, including media, that if we just had a coach who would open up the playbook and run an offense our pro style QBs could operate we would would go to the ship. We have that with O. Instead of trying to force our players into an antiquated style of play he lets our OC put players in the best position to thrive. He can recruit better than just about anyone. He is doing right now, every single thing we have begged for for years, except fire BDP. Why does everyone shite on him? Because of his past? We're already seeing him bring our guys up to potential. He may not end up being the coach we need, but I think right now he is getting a lot of unfair criticism.

This is stolen from Caterpillar and sums up O Perfectly and why we don't want him

You don’t get it.

No one seems to get it.

Ed Orgeron has built and managed one program. Ole Miss. Do you know what happened to the one program that has ever trusted him to build it his way?

At Ole Miss: They were historically bad. He was DRAMATICALLY worse than his predecessor and successor in terms of winning football games. Don’t bring up the fricking stupid Bill Belichick argument who was one the better Browns coaches in that era and didn’t get along with mgmt. Orgeron was 3-21 in the SEC and got worse every year. As the program became more “his” it got far fricking worse. Year 3, starting most of his players, Ole Miss finished the season 0–8 against fellow SEC teams, and 3–9 overall. It was the program's first winless (conference) season since 1982.

At USC: He did not build USC. He did not hire those coaches that called ALL of the plays and had BOTH coordinators to run a system already in place. He also did not choose most of those players. That was NOT his program. Period. He took over USC and beat someone he shouldn’t, had a terrible loss, and walked through 5 cupcakes using energy to pump up his vast talent advantage.

At LSU: He did not build LSU. He did not hire those coaches that have called ALL of the plays. He has one coordinator who is elite and promoted a guy who knows the system already in place that is not his. He did not choose most of these players. This is NOT his program. Period. He has beaten shitty Missouri using energy to pump up his vast talent advantage.

If LSU hires Ed Orgeron as its next head coach, we will not be better than 8 wins a year. LSU fans have been craving an intelligent head coach that matches wit with guys like Saban and Meyer. We have spent years dealing with a head coach that is a good guy, that recruits well, but is not very intelligent, yet people want to do that all over again?
