Not that it really matters, but why is he just now trying to enforce this bullshite? Is he hunting the property or something? Or just trying to be a dick?

He has no property to legally hunt. Every club in the area, from what I'm told, has had problems in the past.
He claims a rep from conoco oil told him conoco owns all the swamp and that all clubs were trespassing. There is no way that this happened.
He then gated the road saying if the clubs were trespassing in the swamp he didn't want them using "his land" to get there.
The messed up part is that there shouldn't be a dispute because this guy doesn't own anything. His wife's family owned land in the mid 90s. Over the years it spilt along with the family. Now it's a watered down family land dispute that catches my club in the middle. Lucky for us it also involves a powerful land owner next to us.
