You're wrong about talent. Penn State made a living owning east coast recruiting including Maryland and northern Virginia. They also ruled New Jersey. Those are fertile recruiting grounds if you're the top dog pulling in the talent.

If it wasn't for their moral failures before, during, and after the Sandusky/Jo Pa scandal they would be the second best job in the big ten (behind only tOSU IMO).
But the stink of the fans still defending and rationalizing will hurt them for a while.
