I didn't read any of that but I want to hug you IRL for not posting about Foley, UF, etc.

We can talk about Foley in the offseason. Football season is half done.

Bama, Ole Miss and Arky have done the same thing. Their success has been from have a bigger stronger OL than our DL. It's as simple as that. They have run to open the pass and as the safeties and LBs have had to move up to stop the run they've opened the short to intermediate routes up in the pass game. They've also done a good job of keeping our rush off of their QBs.

This is why I was really excited about us recruiting Valentine who offsets the size disadvantage. The other variable is having Beckwith. No more 230lb middle LBs. We have a thumper now and it shows. The D is still learning Aranda's scheme so he's been pretty vanilla on the blitzes, but I expect to see it increase as the season goes on.

Whoever becomes the new HC will be inheriting an embarrassment of riches.
