He's a great politician. I have no doubt half this state would vote for him if he ran for senate tomorrow

Pretty much. The more he works the administration, the more latitude he gets with the quality of the product on the field.
King will eventually cave, especially when they realize that they could save $2.5+ million per year by giving him the job.
