LSU isn't going to let that palatial tiger habitat go to waste. I hope we get a cub so he gets used to big crowds and loud noises early.

A young tiger cub is high risk, even with the best care being provided. LSU is better off looking for a tiger that is 1 - 2 years old. Takes a bit more work finding a personality that fits. Downside is that the tiger might never adapt to game atmosphere. Upside is it lives past its natural life expectancy.

The quickest way to end the live mascot tradition at LSU would be to have a young cub expire in LSU's care
