It's a very cool small theater. Saw Avett brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show there and it was awesome. Also saw tons of shows there as a kid. I hope it is preserved for a long time.

ETA: just saw your post above, you're not missing anything in Shreveport. People from there act like it's "booming" all the time but what that really means is they're getting a Whole Foods. I'm from Shreveport - I know the lie.

Can anyone tell me who owns the rights to the term/trademark "Louisiana Hayride", and what is currently being done w/ it?

Pretty sure Jack White even played there on that last tour. I've never been, but it definitely gets some cool, credible bands passing through.
