Because they didn't want to play the game.

His excuse revolved around being afraid all of Gainsville emergency services would still be constrained during that time due to the aftermath.

The real question is why not tentatively schedule for Monday and make a final decision NLT Saturday? By then you would have a better idea on what resources you have at your disposal.

Because he was scared his team would lose. That's why.

Because it benefited Florida to either a) not play the game at all or b) play the game later in the season when the team was healthier. Once the game wasn't played at all last weekend then Foley was a happy camper. Its all gravy now.

And do answer the question.. They either want to play us with Del Rio at QB or not play us at all.

I think the fact Florida assured everyone they would play the game then waited until as late as possible to decide they would not be able to play says it all. Like I said in another thread, what did they know on Thursday morning that they didn't know Wednesday afternoon?

Never wanted to play the game. Now he is in a position to win the SEC East without playing a game. Way to go Foley! Enjoy your tainted SEC East title.

Some jibberish about NFL and people's safety

I can understand the "unknown"

so just push it back a day....postpone the game from Sat to Sun that prior tuesday

giving everyone time to prepare for the change...

then friday rolls in, "Hey Sunday is good!"

Game still on!

but they waited until Thursday....screwing it all up

USCe was all over it....and that's why they played Sunday..

they prepared, UF didn't

For the same reason he was opposed to Saturday. They didn't want to play this game at this time due to the injuries they've sustained. It was a football decision. Everyone with half a brain and who is honest knows this.

Football players families. Not concerned about volleyball and soccer families though.

Per Mcelwain that all got together and hugged it out Monday.
