On Thursday and Friday, ESPN was saying LSU refused to move the game 11/19 and we just need to accept any financial loss because we needed to be sensitive to Florida getting hit by a hurricane. (Obviously Florida preference)

Now ESPN is throwing out the possibility of 10/29 and SI is saying that LSU's losses need to be covered and Aggies should change their game to Saturday if the game is moved to 11/19.

Edit to keep the post on my main point:
The narrative is changing. Aleva is working behind the scenes and based on Rabalais article in the the Advocate the Governor is now involved. We might not get completly screwed which is the way it seemed Friday.

I can't imagine anything, but a bunch of angry men taking the field for LSU whenever they get the chance. Then we pull a spurrier and run it up on them.

For what, ticket sales? It's not that simple, really.

If you think SEC is gonna pony up close to $10M you're nuts.

LSU needs to send Danielson a gift basket, or hookers & blow, something. He first gave Sankey a nod on player safety, then asked about safety and LSU playing 3 SEC road games in 12 days.

That gave license to all the other outlets to change the narrative. Now it doesn't matter if the 11/19 rejection was a lie or not (which most agree it is). Now, if LSU did reject it, it was for safety reasons. If it was never proposed, then it shouldn't be.

And then... many are now asking themselves how the hell did this happen. And someone points out that Sankey's answer to the safety question was, in part, "we need to come together". Uh oh.

I'm sure the TV network, ESPN I believe, will have to agree to this change, too.

According to an article I read last month, this is the last year this game will be on Thanksgiving night anyway. Texas A&M says the Thanksgiving game hurts attendance because so many students go home to be with families that day and also it's difficult to get the necessary number of stadium personnel to operate a game that day. LINK

So I would think Texas A&M would be agreeable to moving the game to Saturday after Thanksgiving so the key is, will the TV network agree to it.
