Aim Surplus, Buds Gun Shop, Palmetto State Armory, Primary Arms, Silencer Shop...

If you have a place that will do a $20 transfer, it will save you money. Just don't bitch about your local gun shop going out of business. The Arms Merchant in Mandeville stays fairly competitive compared to what I can find online (tax not withstanding).

Sometimes you just need to put a gun in your hand to determine if you are going to like it. If I go to a store to check it out, I usually buy it there.

If I lived in New Orleans, Lafayette, Baton Rouge or even Shreveport, I think I would always buy from the local gun shop. Living in Ruston, the prices are so high I have to drive to Shreveport, shop while I am visiting friends in Laffy, BR or NOLA, or order online.

Have to do the same with ammo too. My Walmart doesn't have anything in bulk and quit carrying the 9 mm Perfecta ammo that shot as well as anything I've fed my pistol. When I was in Lafayette about six months ago, I bought ammo from two different stores and brought it home.
