Is he implying that the people of Florida do not know the dangers associated with hurricanes of this magnitude? Also, do you think the Governor was concerning himself with potential sporting events that could be played. I would think Governor Scott figured the games would automatically be cancelled when he announced the closure of all state facilities (which includes UF's facilities).

Let's see, including fans, staff and workers, how many people do you think will be occupying a couple of square miles in Gainesville for the game? 100k? Considering the potential danger involved I'd think that's a pretty important thing.

We all would think that but it hasn't happened yet, so the letter is highlighting that.
