I have never bought a phone except from the att/sprint store and they usually do everything.
So you just buy a phone offline and put in your sim and sd card and all done, yeah?
All assuming i get a nexus or pixel from Google and use their project fi service

Doesn't even have to be Fi. The Pixels will work on any US carrier. Verizon just has exclusivity to sell it in store. Also, there's no SD slot on this phone, so keep that in mind.
