-turned around a complete dumpster fire in Memphis
-Looks to have Va Tech headed back in the right direction.

not sure what his contract looks like at VT, but I think I'd prefer him of the 2nd tier guys like Fedora.

I consider him on par with the likes of Mullen and Fedora

He would make it move but I wouldn't be fully erect

Fuente's buyout if he wanted to get out of the contract is $7 million before Dec. 15, 2016, $6 million on that date in 2017, $5 million in 2018, $3 million in 2019, $1 million in 2020 and nothing after Dec. 16, 2020.

I wanted Fuente for the OC job several times during the Les era so he's been on my radar. Good career move by him not getting it though

I like Fuente but never considered him because he just started at VT. If they could get him, he would be in my top 3

Fuente is one of the best coaches in the country. I've had a chance to see him re-build the program at Memphis. He was my choice if Miles had been fired last season. I don't think he's an option however: he just got to VT and has a family with young children. By all accounts he thinks Blacksburg and VA is a good place to live.

Not a great recruiter while at UM but great coach. Would definitely be in my top 3 if he was a realistic option.

He's going to make V-Tech a power house. That is a fertile recruiting area up there and he's a terrific coach.

Slow down, living here trust me the high school talent is not all that compared to the gulf coast.

I'm not as arrogant as some and think we can pluck anyone we want.....but still I would think he'd have to think long and hard if he were to receive a call from us.

+1

I wanted him last year. Would happily take him right now.

I like him.

But I think it was said that VT was the job he wanted all along. Add that to the fact that he's been there half a season now.....

Doubt he'd leave VT this soon but I would take him over Fedora, Kiffin or Mullen if those were our options.

Living in NC I watch UNC a lot and Fedora's D track record bothers me.

This is who I wanted last year, but our dumbass AD didn't fire Les. I don't see him leaving after just one year at VA Tech.

If VT keeps winning, we need to at least gauge his interest in this job. I understand that this is his first year there, but crazier things have happened. Would be silly not to at the very least, look into it. He and Herman were neck and neck last year.

He already showed smarts in keeping Bud Foster there.
