Tubby is a hero in these parts. I think he'd be nuts to go back to the SEC. All he has to do is go .500 here and he will be a hero for a long time. I think he'll spend the next seven years in MN brining the Gophers to above average, then retire a legend. MN's expectations are not high in comparison with the religion that is sports in the SEC.

Right. So Tubby is out.

That leaves VCU's hero and UNO's hero.

Anybody else?

(This is why you don't just pop off and fire a guy fresh off a Final Four, Bashers)

Floyd had his chance and passed on it when Dale retired. I stopped worshiping him then (although, I did lives in Ames for three years and still am a big ISU fan). Like Miles to Michigan or Del Rio to the Tigers, I think you get one chance, and if you blow it, the affair is over.
