So.... I love the play action.
But.
If the staff is trying to set up playcalling in later games by going PA on almost every pass, that's a damned good idea. It'll make em hesitate so that LF7 can hit the hole, and once he does it's game over.
But if we just continue to use PA near-exclusively, smart defensive teams like Bama are going to kill Danny. Saban will bite the bullet of perhaps letting us grind out running 1st downs in order to let a blitzing safety or LB get a clean kill shot on the QB.
So hopefully by the time we play Bama, Danny will be able to have a good idea of how to read the D and will have the authority to hand it off or dump it off quick, or stick with the PA if he sees that it's there.
