While Louisiana certainly has talent, this is an over played and almost untrue statement. Louisiana produces some great skill players but fall way short in producing interior linemen. LSU has always "had the state to themselves" and its produced only ok results throughout history. What is different today that wasnt there 20 years ago? 35 years ago? Also, you can only sign 25 guys some some are gonna be lost to other schools. As far as LSU becoming a dynasty in 120 years of football it would have happened somewhere along the way and hasn't. Blame it on what you want but Les Miles, Curly, Cholly, whomever were not the first coaches there and throughout history LSU has never sustained a dominant run much less multiple dominant runs. LSU can be a formidable team but dynasty is not a word that applies to LSU football. Baseball, absolutely.
