Well shouldn't the caveat to his time in Egypt be that there was a revolution going on and the Port Said massacre had just occurred. With Le Havre he had a club that spent only 24 seasons in Ligue 1. He's a decent coach, especially with his emphasis on positioning, and most of all, he's pragmatic in a way that I wish Klinsmann was. He does play favorites and his tactical style can be regressive, but I'd argue we the US was a better team in terms of spacing and positioning in comparison to now.
