I'm enjoying my visit here.
BTW, I may be ndew to this board, but I'm a long time follower of LSU football.
Used to love to listen to them on Saturday nights on WWL.
I actually remember Paul Dietzel and the Chinese Bandits.
I listened, on the radio, to the Billy Cannon punt return that beat Bama. (My daddy taught me well. Never root for Bama or Notre Dame unless they played each other. In that case, root for the meteor.)

Welcome aboard - I was at the LSU v Ol Miss game in '59 = Halloween Billy Cannon punt return.
Back then, we didn't care about Alabama. Ol Miss was our favorite "love to hate" team. I still remember the reverberation of "GO TO HELL OL MISS - GO TO HELL" that you could hear all across the campus when the Ol Miss team arrived at Tiger Stadium. It was thunderous.
I think Bear Bryant was still at A&M at that time.
But you daddy taught you well. Never root for Alabama or Notre Dame. If he had included Oklahoma in there it would have been perfect.

Remember when tv first came out and it was black and white? And when color tv started broadcasting?
Remember when Eisenhower first proposed the Interstate Highway system? It took forever to drive long distances.
My father bought a new Chevy pickup for $1,800. They came without heaters and rear bumpers.
I got a '68 Mustang new for $3,400.
Gas was under 25 cents a gallon.
And there was no social media!
