Where to get a good deal on used SUV

Need to get an SUV for my wife and I want to look into getting something gently used 5k-10K miles so I can avoid that initial off the lot depreciation.
Any ideas of where to start looking?
I'm looking to spend 45k-60k

As a guy in the business, I understand how some buyers think like this, but I see the benefit in buying new (as you can negotiate harder and dealers are paid by manufacturer to move new inventory, not so much used) and a used vehicle will deprecriate, just like a new (used 2 owner vehicle when traded/sold vs used 1 owner vehicle when traded/sold). What you looking at?

I agree with coach, don't limit yourself to used, shop new and used and see what you come up with

She'd like a Tahoe LTZ, Audi, Infiniti, or Lexus SUV.

Expensive SUVs, I would shop new and used, good luck.

You are looking to buy an expensive luxury SUV and are worried about initial deprecation? All of the ones you mentioned are going to depreciate like crazy even after a couple years.

I found a couple 2015 LTZ Tahoes that were loaded with 5k-10K miles for 52k-55k
That car is over 70k new.
Yes I'd rather pay 20k less for a car with less than 10K miles
I don't see why this is surprising.

No one is paying sticker for new GM vehicles.

Porsche Cayenne/Macan
Solid resale if you buy right (both price and options wise).

So what is the price you'd expect to pay for a new loaded LTZ?

Build what you want and email 3 dealers in Houston and see what they come back with

What's your idea of loaded? What drive train?

I think this is an old fashion way of thinking. If you are going to keep the vehicle for a while, just get a new one.
If you really want used, get something with 30K to 40K miles on it to see real savings.

We went and looked at the Lexus SUV (GLX I think).
We picked the package we liked and they only offered a discount of $2600 from the sticker price. Basically said this was their best seller and it was already close to the invoice price so that's the best I could do.
I used the Will Cover method but that was as low as she'd go. I walked out so I'm waiting on a callback
Any more advice?

Go to different dealerships and see if they can beat the offer you correctly have. Be willing to drive a few hundred miles away to dealers that do higher volume.
Not sure where you're located, but this GX in GA is heavily discounted.

now that you know what you want, call Hai Ho (yeah it is a funny name)at Westside Lexus in Houston (281)368-1421, we bought 2 from him last year and he beat baton Rouge's and New Orleans BEST prices (which we had got them to invoice ) by over $4,000 on a RX's, I am sure he could do lots better on the higher priced GLX

Just picked up a new '16 Yukon XL for the wife last week for $58,500 plus tax. Listed for $68,700. It has all the bells and whistles, leather, video, A/C seats, sunroof etc. I used the GM employee discount since my father retired from GM. This isn't far from your budget and I have a feeling you can get the new Tahoe for what you are willing to spend for a used one.
If you can wait a month or two, the 17's should be coming out and they will slash prices further.
ETA: cash for clunkers ruined the used car market and I don't think it ever recovered. Used cars are ridiculously high.
