So whether they get the 2 points or not they still would have a chance to tie Louisville with a FG. If they scored. So there's zero downside to risking it. On the other hand if you get it you still have a chance of blocking an extra point, which you've already done once in the game.

Where is the lack of reason?

No. Because if they missed the 2pts and UL got a 2pt conversion that is 4 points, forcing Clemson to drive for a TD.

The chances of blocking a second xp are miniscule, thus should not be factored into the decision.

Guess this is the same reasoning that led Dabo to bypass a late FG at Auburn when he was up by 6 points.
