Yeah I don't mind. $300 for anything nice is child's play. Especially if it's $300 for wheel/sticks/pedals.

The number of options is overwhelming.

One thing to look for is the turn radius of the wheel. Most of the more expensive models don't have this problem, but look for a radius of 900-1080 degrees. Anything under 800 degrees is really twitchy, unrealistic, and annoying to play with. ***edit unless you like drifting in which case 720 is optimal.

Also, metal pedals are the way to go.

Shifters can be fun, though most packages sell them seperatly. I like the the action of shift paddles on the back of the wheel instead of a knob, it makes the games easier, but the knob makes it all just feel right...which is kind of the point.
