maybe not four projects, but something like two projects and two tests in one day was common in middle and high school.

Homework is absolutely out of control for younger kids (3-8th grade)

i have no kids but I have heard this

i think the issue was alluded to earlier. this is a way to force the lower-end to work in an attempt to bring the lower-higher end closer together

this kind of over-working is the exact opposite of how we should be treating our best and brightest, but the system is set up to almost ignore these kids and try to "save" the lower-end at the expense of properly educating our best and brightest. if our system focused on the best and brightest, then the gap would become MASSIVE and people would flip the frick out
