no way. defense is getting killed by 3rd & chavis. they need to be able to stop someone so the offense can keep the defense off the field.

Through 4 games in 2014 Chavis allowed 4-15, 3-14, 4-14, 5-14.
Through 4 games in 2016 Aranda allowed 3-15, 7-17, 1-14, 8-19.
While Chavis' opponents converted at a slightly lower rate (28 percent to 29 percent), Aranda has done so with a pretty glaring offensive play deficit.
If you thought our offense in 2014 was bad...
We're averaging 11 less plays than our opponents this year.
in 2014 we were averaging 10 more than our opponents.
So more snaps for our opponents means more 3rd down tries, means more third down conversions. It'll look a lot better if we can actually start moving the ball.

We've had more than 59 snaps this year in 1 game!!
In 2014 we hadn't had less than 68 through 4 games!! It's absolutely terrible.

Also.. I think KT2 has played a lot better than he gets credit for. Auburn was, by far, our worst 3rd down performance allowing conversions 44 percent of the time.
MS State converted 7 percent of their 3rd down tries.
