Just me and my wife. Why do I need such a expensive home when we take trips year round?? 1800 for just us with a nice Patio and pool is what we want. Why spend on space when I do not need it. Its why I am not in any debt.

You need to call a contractor not ask the ot. There is too many variables

Fair enough. I guess I just always think in terms of resale. Either a ton of land or nice neighborhood and if I were to spend that much on a piece of land I guess I would assume I am going to at least double that spend on the house. Just my opinion though.
LCA- How are you old friend. I trust you and the misses and children are ok during the riots?
