What scares me about Kimbrel is that the announcers were talking about how jacked up he was tonight... It was clear, he was wild and seemed really "off"

He spent all those years with the Braves when they were terrible and never played in really meaningful, post season type games... This scares me..

Kimbrel's years with the Braves:

2010 - 91-71 (L to Giants in division series. He gave up 1 hit in 4 innings and 1 ER)
2011 - 89-73 (blew the huge lead similar to the Red Sox and missed the playoffs)
2012 - 94-68 (L wild card game to Cards in part due to that "infield fly" play, 1 IP, 0 R, 0H)
2013 - 96-66 (L to Dodgers in division series)
2014 - 79-83

So there was one losing season and 3 playoff seasons. He fared well in the playoffs when he got a chance, but inexplicably stood in the bullpen as the Braves blew a lead in the 8th inning against LA in Game 4 in 2013.

He may have struggled with Boston this year, but he pitched in enough big games with the Braves to where he should feel comfortable in those scenarios.
