With Steve Ensminger as new offensive coordinator, I've read that there isn't enough time to change the offensive look. I've read on here that there may be a few differences but not an overhaul so to say. Today I was reading an article and it had a quote from Etling that help that point but also brought up the fact it still could look different.

Quote from Saturday down south
quote:

The important move was with Ensminger replacing Cameron. Etling said the Cameron LSU playbook is deep enough where Ensminger won’t have to introduce new plays. He’ll simply have to pick and choose plays and packages more to his and Orgeron’s liking. Look for a little less fullback and maybe more receivers.

If his play book was indeed that deep, then hopefully there is some life in there they can use. Also, if they win out using plays from said playbook how bad does that make Cam and Les look/feel knowing the winning formula was there all along?

Saturday down south article

Edited for misspelling of offense in the subject line.

I remember in 2014 when Harris showed flashes of brilliance early in his freshman year when we ran a good bit of spread looks against NMSU and MSU. If that's in the book, use it now!

If Ensminger can choose a play based on what is actually happening in the game and get that play in before the playclock expires, we are already going to be infinitely better.

Bump to echo what was said today in coach o's presser...well now you have two people who have said the same thing..let's see how deep that play book is and what gems we can pull out.

I've been saying this for years and a lot this year. LSU doesn't need an overhaul they simply need to stick with what's working and build a rhythm with the offense. It really isn't that hard. When LF busts a 30 yard run down their throat you don't go immediately to PA. Change your formation like you will hit them with PA and run some RPO play or a real toss play. Line up with and without the FB and run and pass from these formations. It's really not that hard and they made it look impossible. It was so funny to me. That formation where the WR would go in motion and stop on the end they would run out of this every single time unless it was long yardage. Use the old Miami playbook and LSU would dominate people. LF is the perfect back for this style of offense. It's the simple things Cam and Les weren't very good at. Idk why??
