There is death a few miles from the school that is related to this as well according to local news.

The school is about 20 minutes south of Clemson. Both students were air-lifted to Greenville.

So a volunteer firefighter appears to be the hero today. He was the first to arrive and took the suspect down and held him until police arrived.
