Neither the o-line nor the receivers are very talented, however the narrative for so long has been that LSU had more talent than anyone, so the majority of the fan base spouts that off as if it is a fact. The fact is, both of those units are not as talented as most SEC schools.

I agree with the o-line we have struggled to produce on any significant level for a while.

The receivers have talent we just don't have the right mix yet, scheme has hurt and coaching has been less than great.

But, discipline has killed the offense for a long time. It is a little better this year but we still have a ways to go. Think back to when we had the Matt's at QB--neither were ultra talented but the offense was very disciplined and had a rhythm to it.

I sure hope we see that offensive rhythm again.

This is the problem with losing. It brings out the worst in us.

Is that the narrative? We have as much talent as anyone in our conference. But we don't have such an overwhelming talent advantage any longer over the traditionally middle pack teams that we can just overpower them (2011, for example).

Meh. We have 3 starting WRs that will play in the NFL. We have 3 starting OLinemen who will play in the NFL. So, I don't know how much talent we have to have to bring you back from the ledge.

Now - are we playing well? No. Can that be fixed? Yes. We are NOT "not scoring" and losing because of a lack of talent. It is vision, philosophy - something to do with executive decisions being made. I was a fan of the Miles' method. He either deviated from it too far to get back or it stopped working.

I'm optimistic.
