What if Strong is fired in 2 or 3 years and Herman jumps to Texas? It's a very real possibility that I think the search committee has to consider....especially if Coach O is looking like a world beater.

This. If you think Herman MIGHT come, you better leave the job open as long as possible.
LSU did not fire it's winningest coach and pay a $13M buyout so that they could promote the DLine coach.
