Herman is denying ever getting contacted and says his agent hasn't been contacted at all.

Wait, you mean the coach of another football team is saying he wasn't contacted by another school? I'm shocked.

Ya don't say. He's not going to say LSU has contacted either of them.

on December 21 Saban stated "I guess I have to say it, I'm not going to be the Alabama coach" in an effort to stop the Alabama rumors.

Every coach says this in that situation. Herman also didn't say that his agent didn't contact LSU. He would be a shitty agent if he didn't.

What do you expect him to say?

LSU fired Miles less than 24 hours ago in the middle of the season. LSU's immediate need was for a coach to finish out this season. Herman, being contractually obligated to the University of Houston, was not a consideration for the position, so why would anyone expect LSU to have contacted him, or his representative when LSU had more pressing needs?

Don't you think LSU is going to want to figure out what characteristics it wants in its next coach, and what it is willing to pay for its next coach? You can rest assured that LSU will contact Herman, or his representative, when LSU begins the search for a permanent replacement if LSU thinks he fits within those criteria.
