but this idea that Etling is infallable is laughable

No one has said his infallible. He is a better QB than Harris though, by a pretty obvious margin.

Harris did worse.

Effect of cheap shot targeting, which we've already acknowledged is part of why we lost.

and missing a wide open Dupre for a touchdown twice on the final drive down the seam

After all of Dupre's drops, I'd not throw at him in critical situations either.

With good coaching, I think Harris would be alot better than Etling could ever dream of

Well, that settles it then ... Orangtang will simply bring in a "Hit the Broad Side of a Barn" QB Coach ... and another coach to yell all game long ... "IT'S JUST PRACTICE. THIS IS NOT A GAME. PRACTICE."

He has played better than Harris this year, yes

But maybe O can bring out the Harris from the UF game last year?

Let's not act like Harris has always been as awful as he was early this year

I guess so. I know if Harris lost to Auburn while only scoring 13 points, while dropping a huge fumble without being touched, and missing a wide open Dupre for a touchdown twice on the final drive down the seam, this board would be melting.

Not really ... because this board saw the last drive, and the majority paid attention to Etling ballin' out and doing his best to bring a victory (and save Les' job). He damn near did it.

Then you can't be the QB as long as Dupre is playing.

I can understand if he didn't see Dupre, but to not look his way because you don't want to go to him fearing a drop is inexcusable.

WE have? He took a hit. Big fricking deal, its football. He wasnt concussed or injured. That didnt have any affect on his play

You're factually wrong, but whatever.

Agree with all ... except that Wisky is better than Barn. A lot better, actually.

I saw a QB who snapped the ball early and got an illegal shift penalty, then stood there waiting on the call instead of lining his team up for the snap.

Now that is mostly a coaching issue, but the narrative that Etling was the only reason we stood a chance is ridiculous. The only reason we couldn't kick a FG to win it was because of a crucial fumble.

And? Harris didn't play well at all this year, and likely would have lost the JSU game. For whatever reason, he just didn't have it this year.
