2. He doesn't play defense. That's really really important in the SEC. See aTm

Thats why you hire a DC like Aranda. If I'm taking you literally, of course he doesn't play defense, because he's a coach.

Also, the change of pace in playing style might lead to more points overall but it doesn't mean your defense is worse. Alabama seems to have NO issue winning a game 48-43. Do you think any less of their defense? Alabama seems to do that a few times every year. Bama is prepared to play at the pace they need to maximize their talent.

This " every SEC team should be good at defense" line is bullshite. LSU needs to stop focusing on one thing and think about the entirety of the game plan, and thats exactly why they were in this position in the first place.

And if you're at a place like Baylor you can't split your athletes like we can.

But yeah it's concerning and I would rather a few other coaches
