My new theory is that when he got the ride on the shoulders of his players last year, he was at peace with getting fired and collecting his buyout.

Getting pulled back in was almost like a kick in the nuts for him. I don't think he was trying to prove anything to anybody. He was simply going through the motions.

He wasn't his usual happy and spazzy self on the sidelines this year.

I just don't think he knew how to fix things. This is the way Bo taught him to coach, and Bo won games, and Bo was a legend

you know, i think you're right. he's 63 and his kids are all but gone (except the youngest). it wouldn't surprise me at all that he's happy to get the money, build a nice home in Florida and buy an RV.
