what??!?! He had nasty numbers if he wins the award its bc he had an insane season, look at that k/9 number thats incredible for a starter. This is coming off back to back injury seasons. Arrieta has been mediocre for the last few months, the fact he died they should just give it to him anyways unanimously because those numbers are well worthy of it. Cueto and Bumgarner were on a team with the biggest meltdown ever possibly and scherzer pitched 30 more innings and barely has more k's on a much better team.

None of this should matter if we are debating stats... Cueto and Bum can't help that their team sucked on their days off... Scherzer's team didn't help him get those K's...

The fact is, there were better pitchers this year, and that is not a slight to Fernandez.
