Finally went out to Theodore at the old Jimmy Lowe's fruit stand now named Lil Brian's Produce Market off Hwy 90 and here is what I ended up buying:

Medium Eggs 3 DOZEN for $1.00
Small juice oranges 5 for $1.00
Large Navel Oranges 2 for $1.00
Broccoli bunches .79 cents
Sweet Potatoes 10lb bag $2.99
Bananas 25 cents a pound
Vidalia Onions 69 cents pound
Yellow Onions 39 cents a pound
Cucumbers 4 for $1.00
Strawberries 2 for $3.00
Conecuh Sausage 3 for $10.00
Large Cantaloupes 2 for $3.00
Spend $20 get a free mum
Bartlett Pears 4 for $1.00

Rouses, Publix, Walmart, Winn Dixie, and Whole Foods can kiss my freakin a$$ with their super inflated prices. How are the prices on produce where you are at?

3 eggs or 3 dozen for a $1?

3 medium eggs for $1 is not a great deal

Produce in a grocery store is convenient hence the higher prices. I don't mind paying more so I don't have to make another stop at the produce stand. If I have the time I'd rather get produce at southside. But often they don't have what I need and I have to go to the grocery anyway.

They are cheaper because they are typically seconds.
