Because LSU is a lot better destination than UH. A lot more talent to work with.

The SEC is known as the toughest conference in football. Especially the West. If Herman came in and beat Nicky and competed for national titles every year, he would he know as one of the greatest!

Houston isn't moving to the Big 12 anyway.

LSU and the SEC is much more appealing to a competitive coach. Plus he will get paid!

Why are you so sure?

Let's suspend the hysteria for a moment and look at this rationally, a stretch for the Rant to be sure.

If Herman is continues to win and even makes the final 4 the Big 12 will be beating down Houston's doors to join up. That conference desperately needs a new marquee name. Oklahoma is faded and Texas is still struggling. UH in the final 4 gives the Big 12 instant star sparkle. Personally I don't think that UH has to make the final 4. If they finish with a w-l record better than Oklahoma and Texas, an invite should be a slam dunk.
