the only problem with your comparison is that the career comparison is accurate and factual but the implication that LSU will implode post Miles is not.

yes, it CAN happen. but just because it happened at Michigan doesn't mean it will at LSU.

one thing I would say tho is that really good HC's that fit a particular college do not grow on trees (even tho the idiots on here think they do). Miles, a yankee, was able to "fit in" with the LA culture and embrace it. this translated into very successful recruiting.

whoever the next coach is, he better put together a "recruiting staff" par excellent. four and five star athlete's have their pick of programs no matter what some say.

Look how awesome LSU is right now with all those 5 stars. Most NFL players in the league and haven't really been in the hunt for a conference division title since 2011.
