Always look online and find the same or similar mattress online before buying at mattress firm. I got ~40% off on a purchase recently with a price match and then beating it by 10%. I was in and out within 15 minutes with delivery within 4 hours.
Even with such a large discount I don't doubt they still turned a profit. And don't underestimate how much they make on the pillows and mattress protectors they push so hard during checking out.

Sams is a good place to check also. About a year ago we were thinking of replacing ours and found 2 Serta queen mattresses, nice pillow top ones, for $699 total. My SIL needed one as well, so we went in together on it.
